This podcast aims to capture the thoughts, perspectives and experiences of our students, parents, carers, staff and wider community about life, learning and special educational needs.

In this episode we chat to David Carden, Headteacher and co-Founder of Newingate School about his career and achievements to date, the reasons why he decided to set up a special school and his vision for Newingate School as well as what opportunities are on offer for the Newingate School's students.
Episode 2
In this episode we chat to Donna Curtis, Therapy Lead at Newingate School about her career trajectory and experiences, her role as therapy lead at Newingate School and how this role supports the whole school community. Donna also shares her philosophy and approach to therapy and the creation of a therapeutic approach.

In this episode we chat to Gabby Dengate, Teacher and Art Lead at Newingate School about her move from mainstream secondary art teaching into special education and how she has planned a creative and varied art curriculum to meet the needs of all students.
